Who knew such a small piece of fabric could so efficiently embody Old-Hollywood-vacationing-in-the-South-of-France vibes. The square neck scarf, is the perfect element to add a subtly glamorous mood to a wardrobe in transition.
Yes, many of our fashion it girls and muses have been flaunting their dainty neck scarves all summer long but if anybody else was like me, suffocating through 99 degrees of solid humidity for the past three months, form was sadly trumped by function, as the last thing you wanted to do was impractically yet fashionably add layers to your neck.
Luckily enough, these little squares of fabric are multifunctional little cherries on top of any outfit. So while I suffered the abrasive heat of a southern summer, I could easily transform my neck scarf into a hair accessory, a wrist cuff, or even an accessory for my accessories by tying it to my belt or handbag.
But I have waited patiently for my arsenal of new/old accessories to fulfill their true iconic vintage destinies, and they are finally ready for their day in the cooling sun and I finally get to hop on the tail end of this bandwagon.
